This two-day course in thoracic imaging is designed to enhance your skills in both radiographic and ultrasonographic evaluation of the thorax (excluding cardiac imaging). The course will provide a systematic approach to diagnosing thoracic diseases and a practical understanding of how to utilize both radiography and ultrasound to identify pathological changes in the thoracic cavity.

Identification of normal thoracic radiographic anatomy, including the thoracic wall, pleural cavity, diaphragm, mediastinum, lungs, and thoracic vasculature
A structured approach to thoracic radiograph interpretation
Recognition of radiological changes associated with diseases affecting the thoracic wall, pleural space, diaphragm, lungs, and mediastinum
Case discussions and clinical problem-solving sessions
Thoracic Ultrasonography – Practical Application and Diagnosis
Review of normal thoracic ultrasonographic anatomy (excluding the heart)
Practical training in T-FAST scanning for the assessment of pleural effusion, pneumothorax, and other acute thoracic conditions
Identification of sonographic changes associated with common thoracic pathologies, including pleural and pulmonary abnormalities
Hands-on sessions focusing on ultrasound-guided biopsy and aspiration techniques
The course integrates theoretical instruction with practical training to ensure a comprehensive understanding of both radiographic and ultrasonographic thoracic diagnostics.
