Whether they should be here or not – brachycephalic dogs need your help! In this course, you will learn, through practical exercises, surgical procedures ranging from the nostrils to the tail tip of the brachycephalic dog.
This is a combined theoretical and practical course. All procedures will be covered in theory, and selected techniques from the list will be practiced in hands-on sessions.

General considerations for anesthesia in brachycephalic patients
BOAS screening programs in the UK and Denmark
BOAS assessment, including functional testing and advanced diagnostics
Intra-anesthetic assessment and use of local anesthesia
Soft palate resection
Resection of everted laryngeal saccules
Tonsillectomy
Widening of stenotic nares
Alar fold resection
Cherry eye surgery
Prolapsed nictitating cartilage
Periosteal tacking of the nictitating membrane
Total caudectomy (screw tail amputation)

Dette kursus giver danske dyrlæger en grundlæggende forståelse af, hvordan kunstig intelligens (AI) kan integreres i deres kliniske arbejde for at optimere både kvaliteten af patientbehandlingen og arbejdsdage. Bruge AI til at stille diagnoser og udelukke differentialdiagnoser. Tolk laboratorieresultater med hjælp af AI. Integrere AI i deres kliniske praksis for at forbedre effektivitet, nøjagtighed og patientbehandling. Reducere stress, arbejdsbyrde og overarbejde ved at anvende AI til rutinemæssige opgaver

Effective pain management is crucial for optimal patient outcomes, high client satisfaction, and ultimately has a positive impact on clinic resource utilization.
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the use of local anesthesia and analgesia through plexus and peripheral nerve blocks, as well as epidural blocks.
