Se kursusbeskrivelseThe course covers a wide range of endocrine disorders, including both common and uncommon presentations of hypo- and hyperadrenocorticism, hypo- and hyperthyroidism, and primary and secondary hyperparathyroidism. You will become familiar with the clinical signs and diagnostic approaches for these conditions, helping you identify them early and accurately in your patients.
A key component of the course is understanding the medical and, when appropriate, surgical management of adrenal, thyroid, and parathyroid diseases. You will also dive deep into endocrine pancreatic disorders, focusing on insulinoma and the pathophysiology and clinical signs associated with these conditions. Special emphasis will be placed on diabetes mellitus and diabetic ketoacidosis, with detailed guidance on their investigation, management, and the challenges of controlling diabetes in unstable patients.
Additionally, you will explore the pathophysiology of pituitary endocrine diseases and gain practical insights into diagnosing and managing these conditions in small animals.
By the end of the course, you will be equipped to confidently diagnose and manage a wide range of endocrine disorders, understand the nuances of each condition, and provide comprehensive care to patients with endocrine diseases.
