Learning Objectives:

Flexible Endoscopy Materials for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy: Gain in-depth knowledge of the different types of flexible endoscopy equipment, understanding their main features and the different components involved.
Cleaning and Maintenance of Equipment: Learn proper techniques for cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining endoscopic equipment to ensure longevity and reliability.
Patient Preparation for Upper and Lower Endoscopies: Understand the necessary pre-procedural steps to prepare patients for safe and effective upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy.
Endoscopic Anatomy: Study the anatomical landmarks relevant to gastrointestinal endoscopy, aiding in accurate navigation and assessment during procedures.
Guidelines for Upper and Lower Gastrointestinal Tract Endoscopy: Familiarize yourself with standard guidelines and best practices for performing safe and effective gastrointestinal endoscopies in veterinary patients.
Biopsy and Polypectomy Techniques: Learn the techniques for obtaining biopsies and performing polypectomies during endoscopic procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal conditions.
Foreign Body Removal: Understand the process of safely removing foreign bodies from the gastrointestinal tract using endoscopic tools and techniques.
Esophageal Stenosis Management: Gain insights into the procedures and strategies for addressing esophageal stenosis during endoscopic examinations.
Perkutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) Tube Placement: Learn how to apply a PEG tube, an essential technique for providing long-term nutritional support to patients requiring gastrointestinal intervention.
Practical Classes on Cadavers: Participate in hands-on training sessions using cadavers to practice and refine endoscopic techniques in a controlled environment.

Surgery in the Brachycephalic Dog
