Two-day practical course in feline facture repair.
At the end of the course you will have gained:
A solid understanding of orthopaedic surgery in cats, including key surgical techniques and approaches.
Be able to diagnose and treat various types of fractures in cats, including humeral, radius, ulna, metacarpal, and metatarsal fractures.
Master techniques for reduction and stabilization of sacroiliac luxations, hip fractures, and perform Femoral Head and Neck Excision (FHNE).
Be able to diagnose and choose appropriate treatments for cranial cruciate ligament rupture.
Have practical experience with relevant surgical techniques through hands-on sessions

Surgical techniques: internal fixation (plates, screws) and external fixation
Radius and Ulna Fractures:
Types of fractures and treatment strategies
Techniques: internal fixation (plates, intramedullary pins) and external fixation
Metacarpal and Metatarsal Fractures:
Indications for conservative vs. surgical treatment
Techniques for surgical stabilization (plates, pins, external fixation)
Afternoon: Practical Session
Humeral fracture repair: plate and screw application; external fixation
Radius and ulna fracture repair: plating, pinning, and external fixation
